A Norwegian Supernova
By Andrew Rudder for Pulp Magazine ~ www.pulpmag.net ~ andrew@pulpmag.net
Search the Nordic country on the western portion of the
Scandinavian Peninsula,
Throughout the infamous Fjords along the extensive coastline
along the North Atlantic Ocean,
And you will not find another Norwegian investment banker
like Mirell whose majestic splendor and fair flowerlike femininity
intoxicates your mind like a genuine love-potion,
With such a breathtaking, splendidly stunning sensuality
imbued in her provocative persona that exhibit such a vehement
passion,
With such an indomitable spirit that flows from a strong
drive to succeed like a wondrous, winsome woman on a mission,
That fuels the flame of her scintillating star so it continues
to shine like a supernova in the night sky that her admirers
who bask in her light will need sun-tan lotion,
Poetry speaks louder than prose ... so listen ...
Search throughout the Kingdom of Norway including the arctic
island territories such as the archipelago of Svalbard and
the arctic volcanic island Jan Mayen and till,
And you will not find a more eye-filling enchantress like
Mirell whose sublime splendor makes you want to embrace the
eternity of the moment ... that time stands still,
Her poignant pulchritude elicits the highest degree of aesthetic
pleasure within the mind like the beautiful polyphonic music
of composer & violinist Ole Bornemann Bull,
You want to stay alive when you bare witness to her pulchritudinous
symmetry, so you’re relieved to know ... that looks
don’t kill!!!,
Mirell’s tantalizing trinity of comely class, exquisite
elegance and delightful delicacy will surely fill,
Your glass ... brimming with aesthetic pleasure because the
fulfillment of the state of Epicurean delight is such a great
thrill,
No other woman possesses such an aesthetic pleasing aura
and therefore no other winsome woman can ... quit fit the
bill ... like the marvelous Mirell,
Search the county of Aust-Agder in the city of Arendal from
Grimstad in the southwest, Froland in the northwest and to
the northeast in Tvedestrand,
And you will not find a Norwegian woman within the Venice
of Scandinavia with such a picturesque, statuesque physique
that looks like it was sculpted by Gustav Vigeland,
Mirell is a Norwegian angel who is an original source of
poetic inspiration like the heavenly Stella was to Henrik
Wergeland,
Her beauty will stand the test of time like the houses within
Tyholmen on the mainland,
The sounds of her harmony are worthy to mingle within the
perfumed atmosphere like the sounds of the “Canal Street –Arendal
Jazz and Blues” festival from a Jazz band,
Thrilling the beautiful scenery around her . . . like the
idyllic swimming beaches and skerry landscape of Arendal
. . . beautifying its breathtaking coastland,
The
aim of Mirell when ever she steps before the camera lens
is to arrest motion, which like William Faulkner said “is
life,” and encapsulate the photographs’ internal
beauty,
So that one hundred years later when someone looks at it,
her pictures move again since it is a life without any predefined
boundary,
And will therefore be more than just the outcome of that
person’s vivid imagination, but an ultimate reality,
One hundred years later that person will find in Mirell’s
photos a labour of love that is profound repose, and a vision
of artistry cloaked in the industry’s obscurity,
Revealing the beauty of Mirell’s fine femininity with
an aesthetic limit that extends to infinity. |

Interview
By Andrew Rudder for Pulp Magazine ~ www.pulpmag.net ~ andrew@pulpmag.net
Andrew: It's with great pleasure that I introduce to you to
a stunning, sensually sublime young woman, an investment banker
and a professional international model named Mirell Victoria,
who was born and raised in Norway. The incomparable Mirell
has done more intriguing modeling and film projects, and experienced
more things in her early life than most people will complete
in their life time. Her impressive resume to date reads like
a ‘who’s who’ within the upper echelons of
the fashion and film industries. Mirell’s awe-inspiring
journey toward celebrity status began in the small city of
Arendal, Norway, where she was born and raised.
She was spotted by an agent at the age of 15 at a time when
she never wore make up, high heels, and had never even had
a boyfriend, because she spent all of her time being a teachers
pet, playing tennis, horse riding and reading up on politics!
A few weeks after her first shoot she was on an airplane to
Milan, and got a very quick introduction to the wondrous world
of high heels, make up, glitz and glamour. It didn’t
take long before she became use to strutting down the cat walks
of designers such as Armani and Hussain, and damn did she love
every minute of it! She then moved to Barcelona and then Athens,
working on runways and for magazines such as Marie Claire and
Vouge before moving to London, where she started doing more
bikini, fitness and page three shoots, and pageants such as
Miss Scandinavia, Queen of the World, Miss Hawaiian Tropic
and Miss Norway. Within a few months of moving to the
UK she was voted the 42nd most sexiest woman in the world.
Since than Mirell has participated in some large campaigns
for a lot of reputable corporations within the industry, and
became their spokesperson as she worked alongside some other
established stars such as Victoria Silversted, Karolina Kurkova,
Jenna Jameson and Caprice. There are large parties all over
the world and Mirell has met some amazing and inspiring people
on her way to the upper echelons of the modeling industry.
With all of the traveling that Mirell does during her very
hectic schedule and busy lifestyle, moving from one challenging
creative project and exciting adventure to the next, one would
think that she deserves some time off to relax and rejuvenate
her seemingly restless vivacious spirit.
Mirell is so hard working and she likes to constantly embrace
new challenges, however, that her idea of a break is working
within the field of investment banking dabbling in the 24/7
FOREX market, the Stock market and the Futures Market ... proving
that she is more than just another pretty face as many people
have told her it was impossible for a woman, nevertheless a
model, to get into investment banking ... and Mirell proved
them all wrong! Mirell loves proving her non-believers wrong,
as her poignant beauty is balanced by a scintillating witticism
and intriguing intelligence. So with the world as her oyster
and the admirable level of success that she has attained thus
far, what is next for this young starlet with a potential that
extends to infinity??? She’ll most likely set all her
many talents into helping other young, talented models out
by setting up a model and talent school, and develop it into
a production company within the film and music industry.
Mirell has taken the time out of her very busy schedule to
do this interview with yours truly and I appreciate that ...
So on behalf of the Pulp Magazine family whom work extremely
hard to bring our loyal readers the very best in informative
and entertaining content, I'm very delighted to have you Mirell
and it was truly my pleasure to interview and write about you!
I hope that this interview will be the first of many with us
and other magazines during your truly illustrious modeling
career.
MIrell: Dear Andrew, I am so so impressed by the amazing research
you have done about me, and the amazing research you have done
about Norway and norwegian culture; that really really impressed
me. It is an honour for me to be featured in Pulp Magazine,
and to work with such an educated and well written journalist
like yourself; it is simply a pleasure!
Andrew: No great journey toward our desired destination in
life is accomplished solely by ourselves, so talk a bit about
the people in your life who have and continue to support you
throughout your illustrious career, and as you continue to
make your indelible mark on the sands of time.
MIrell: My family, they have been there constantly for me,
I would never ever have accomplished what I have done without
them. They have kept me down to earth and focused. Their support
and love is the biggest gift anyone can ask for. They have
always respected my ambitions and goals. The importance of
great colleagues, my agent and photographers are also such
a fantastic thing. I have met some wonderful, talented and
fantastic people. The other models, they are all so sweet and
fun to be with :-)
Andrew: How and why did you get into the entertainment industry
and what is it about it that captivates your mind and stimulates
your creative imagination.
MIrell: Like you wrote before, I was probably the last person
in the world to even think about a career as a model. I was
the girl who never got invited to parties, the girl who only
talked about politics, the environment and spent all my time
on horses, and playing tennis and other sports. I had never
shaved my legs or worn make up, let alone walking in high heels!
So one day when I was 15 I was in a news stand looking for
a tennis magazine, when this beautiful woman walked up to me
and asked me if I was a model...... Ha ha, I thought it was
a joke- me, a model? Never! However she asked me to do a test-shoot
for her, and a few weeks later I was on a plane to Milan ...
Swapping the tennis court for the Catwalk - it was a very surreal
experience! However, I fell in love with this world instantly;
it was so glamourous, so busy, so crazy and amazing. There
is never one day that is similar to the next, every day is
different, a new country, a new city, new photographers, and
new locations. This is what I love; its like creating a new
piece of art every day :-)
Andrew:
Being convinced to pursue a career in modeling is one thing,
but actually believing that you possess the requisite talent,
focus and drive to succeed in a very tough, unforgiving
business is quite another. When did you actually believe
that you possessed the requisite intangible qualities and
characteristics to make it in the entertainment industry
as a model?
MIrell: I believe the first thing you learn in this industry
is that to get anywhere you have to WORK HARD! Nothing comes
for free. You have to be patient and be able to always be
in a good mood, and treat everybody around you with respect.
It is such a team effort, and all the the magic happens from
the chemistry between the model, the photographer, the designer,
stylist and the make up artist ... if one person is in a
bad mood, or someone is creating a bad atmosphere the whole
picture can get ruined. To keep this magic is probably the
most important thing to have a long career in this world.
I always tell new models that to become successful its 80
% personality and 20 % looks! To be able to give the client
the look he or she wants, to share the client’s vision
of the finished product. I still have to work with this everyday,
but I try to always be filled with energy, creativity and
to be happy when I am at work. I am also a good networker,
and I have a good sense for business. If you start behaving
too much like a diva or stick your nose to high in the sky
you can have a very short lived career. You are selling yourself,
and that is quite a challenge! One day the casting agents
will tell you that you are too tall, one day you are too
short, the next too thin, too blond, too dark, too fat, too
beautiful, too glamourous or too whatever. As a model it’s
very important to make yourself unique and trust that your
uniqueness will sell; don’t try to be like everybody
else. And at last I loooooove my work, I love waking up and
knowing that I m going to create something fantastic :-)
I always say ... you are never better than your last shoot
:-)
Andrew: What experience do you value more and attain more
personal satisfaction from as a model: the creative process
behind an intimate collaboration with a talented photographer,
make-up artist and/or designer OR seeing the reaction from
your family, friends and fans as they bare witness to the
finished product?
MIrell: There is a genuine mix between both of these. The
process behind the picture is an amazing transformation,
and the magic of everybody’s teamwork, and that is
why I am so damn proud when I see the end result; it’s
like all the efforts of all is coming together in one great
master piece :-)
Andrew: Wayne W. Dyer is quoted as saying, “When you
dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the
floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.” As
you dance your way through the entertainment industry, what
has been some of the steps that you enjoyed along the way
thus far?
MIrell:
I adore that quote! This is just what life is all about;
enjoying the way to the goal! Loving each breath of your
life, taste each second and embrace all challenges. I am
so grateful for all the things I have experienced in my
life; all the amazing places I have travelled, the talented
and fantastic people I have met, and to see how one door
opening leads to another door. I believe life is truly
about making your dreams come true; never ever settle for
second best if it does not please you. It is one fairy
tale, and it’s all real! One day I’m backstage with Elton
John, the next moment I’m in a film studio making a
film scene, and then I’m flying in a private Jet to
Bora Bora to go sailing on one of the biggest boats in the
world. Every step is a part of the dance, some steps more
complicated than others but all together they make the most
breathtaking dance anyone has seen :-)
Andrew: You have a refined, voluptuous physique Mirell that
is always accentuated by your artistic poses within your
prepossessing photographs, so I'm curious to know what does
your diet and exercise regimen consist of?
MIrell: My body changed from being a 38 kg and 177 cm tall
fashion model on the catwalk in Milan to what I today think
is my best physique ever. I work out almost everyday simply
out of the love for movement; that being horse riding, fitness,
running, hunting, sailing or a game of tennis. I have been
a vegetarian since I was 14, so I avoid meat, fish and try
to eat a very healthy all around diet, however, I love spoiling
myself with good chocolate and ice cream :-)
Andrew: Why do you think that some models enter the entertainment
industry, attain their 15 minutes of fame and than vanish
without a trace, but others such as world renowned models
like Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks, Christy Turlington, Kimora
Lee, and lesser known models such as Kim Loan and Dawn Rochelle
are capable of transforming their early success as a model
into a long lasting, successful career within the entertainment
industry as business women?
MIrell: I believe I touched on some of these subjects previously
but to stay in this industry it takes something special.
I have a lot of model friends who were very successful for
1 or 2 years, and then like you say, vanished completely.
They went back to school, got married or simply just decided
that the industry was not for them. Many models stay for
years in the industry and make very good money, but you might
never have heard their name mentioned as they enjoy their
privacy. Being a model and being a model celebrity are two
very different things.
Personally I have always focused on becoming independent
and moving my career to new levels. From being a no-name
skinny model on the catwalk to becoming a name and a brand.
Today it is my name that I’m selling; it’s Mirell
Victoria the person and personality, not just a model :-)
It’s a full-time job and my life is now public. People
wonder what I’m eating, where I travel, what clothes
I wear, what my opinion is on different subjects etc. This
is my business and this is my company; the brand and personality
of MIrell Victoria .-)
Andrew:
Do you place any limitations on yourself in terms of what
you will and will not do in this industry to succeed, or
do you have a ‘by any means
necessary I will get
mine in the 21st century’ attitude?
MIrell: With having a name in the industry you also have
some privileges and responsibility, and I try to put my name
and model work toward as much good cases as possible such
as funding campaigns against HIV/AIDS, child labour and the
protection of animals. I would never do a campaign wearing
real Fur or promote cigarettes. I also try to be a good ambassador
for new models. Your network is everything in this industry,
and if you hang with people who party too much, do drugs,
sleep around etc. you will ruin both your name and your business.
I always try try stay away from those things.
Andrew: My no limit credit card slips out of my pocket and
magically appears in your hands as I finish this interview
with you; what do you buy before I find out that it's missing?!!!
[I know in real life you would have returned my card!]
MIrell: Ha, ha, I hope it is a black Amercian express ;-D
Of course I would have returned it to you, but if I could
go on a guilt free spending spree then I would rush over
to Harry Winston to buy some amazing jewelry, then off to
the travel agent for a super first class ticket on Emirates
airways to Dubai, and then I’ll invest a few bucks
on FX, CFDs and a bit of Oil futures ;-))) Ha Ha,
Andrew: What is your ideal exotic getaway?
MIrell: I love sailing and hunting, sailing and diving in
the French Polynesia, and then off to the amazing national
parks in Tanzania and Zanzibar, then horse riding safari
through Kruger in South Africa, Just bliss :-)
Andrew: What sort of qualities in a man do you look for and
really turn you on?
MIrell: Good Manners! Manners are sooooo important! He has
to be ambitious, intelligent, fun loving, classy, elegant,
filled with drive and in love with life. A true romantic
and with kisses so soft and sweet they make me tingle all
over ... a man that really wipes me off my feet ... hi hi
do I need to go on ;-D
Andrew: What is your favorite food?
MIrell: I loooooove dining and wining, Strawberries and Crystal.
Japanese, Lebanese, Greek and Italian in top class, or just
a good glass of Brunello and cooking a big italian pasta
at home for friends. Food is art, and I love tasting and
feeling great food.
Andrew: Name one of your addictions? (Something that you
can't do without)
MIrell: Just ONE??? I got so many ha ha. Mmmmm a big kiss
in the morning, the seaside, my family, my lip gloss, my
notebook, my camera. I always take pictures ... my job, my
fans, my fake tan, lingerie, sexy bikinis, perfume, books
... ops did you say just One hi hi :-) I would be hopeless
on a deserted island; thats for sure ha ha !
Andrew: What is your favorite word to cuss with when your
really upset?
MIrell: I normally try to watch my language and speak well,
however, I can be damn bad at swearing when I get upset ...
the F-word is something you can hear for sure!
Andrew: What is your favorite part of the female and male
anatomy?
MIrell: Mmtmm for a woman I would say the legs, and for a
man I would say his smile.
Andrew: If you were a super heroine what super powers would
you want: super speed, super strength, X-ray vision, invisibility,
the ability to read minds or the ability to fly?!
MIrell: Most definitely I would love to FLY!!! It’s
something I have always dreamt about :-)
Andrew: What is your favorite column in Pulp Magazine?
MIrell: I love your business column. Loved your last one
on inside trading and derivatives. the podcast are also great,
and of course I love the Rogue Angels :-)))) Love it all
actually, nothing better than to browse around on Pulp Magazine
on a Sunday afternoon.
Andrew: What does sex appeal and beauty mean to you? Is it
a state of mind and attitude (mental/intellectual), physical
perfection as defined by society, or being born with the
right set of physical attributes that get the teenage boys'
hormones into a frenzy?
MIrell: Mmmm beauty is definitely about chemistry, charm
and personality. Some people just ooze sex whilst others
are just soooo cute or so damn perfectly beautiful. However,
the perfect beauty is not always sexy and the sexy is not
always perfectly beautiful ... ohhhh did that make sense
or did I just confuse you more :-D
Andrew: What is beautiful about yourself?
MIrell: Mmmmm again that depends on who sees me. I’m
sure my mom would say my eyes whilst a man would say my body
or something similar ... I hope it’s a good combination
of looks and personality :-)
Andrew: If you had to change one thing about yourself what
would it be?
MIrell: My patience ... I’m just the most impatient
person there is ... I cannot wait for anything. If I want
something, then I wanted it yesterday :-)
Andrew: For all of the people, photographers, agencies and
companies seeing you for the first time who will want to
gain more information about you, tell them where they can
go to see and read about some of your past, present and future
projects?
MIrell: Ha ha I think you did a fantastic good summary of
me here in Pulp Mag! Tune in to my website at www.mirell.com
and my blog that is updated daily at www.mirell.blogg.no.
I also do financial news updates on my website, so make sure
you tune in !
Andrew: William Faulkner is quoted as saying, "The aim
of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial
means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when
a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life.
Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him
is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it
will always move." When your profoundly beautiful pictures
move again in the mind's eye of people a hundred years later
Mirell, what do you think they'll say?
MIrell: To be an idol and inspire people is one of the most
fantastic things in life, and my biggest hope is that I can
inspire people to follow their dreams and ambitions, and
maybe even be able to change some peoples’ life with
my work.
Andrew: Thank you Mirell for doing this interview with Pulp
Magazine and I! We wish you all of the best in your future
endeavors, and we look forward to hearing about your success
in the media as a model and as a singer/songwriter. We would
love to have you back anytime!
MIrell: Thank you so so so much for having me, and for the
amazing articles in Pulp Magazine. I must say you must be
one of the most thoughtful writers I have ever worked with,
I loooove it :-) Keep up the success and inspire people with
your fantastic writing. And to all of you reading the article,
thank you sooooo much!!!
