Sunn Rise:

Kristine
Sunn...KaySun as the world knows her. If your being introduced
to her for the first time, you're in for a treat. I've had the
pleasure of knowing her back in the day when she was first jumping
on the scene. I've had the pleasure of watching her develop from
a singer with a voice to an established diva with a voice. I've
had the pleasure of witnessing her take her pain and struggles
and write the most beautiful music. Back when I ran a company
called Mighty Sphinx Entertainment we were recording and producing
songs together. She would take over my ASR 10 and produce her
own hot shit. We lost touch with each other for a bit. I guess
we were both going through some difficult times but late last
year we reconnected and recorded a new song for my new album "Everything's
Eventual".
Aside from the fact that when we are both in the same studio all
we do is laugh, joke and be silly (maybe watch a few Japanese animation
movies). Till this day I'm still surprised that we actually get
work done.

She's fun.
Her music is fun.
Don't get me wrong though. Her music can make you feel her pain,
inspire you and make you feel her happiness and strength. That's
just her lyrics and her vibe. The music itself is not your typical
R&B as some songs take you from there to Dance and back sometimes
in a sort of mystical unexplained fusion/phenomenon.
She's brilliant.
When I thought she couldn't possibly get any better...she did.

Sunn Set
I watched her perform at Rivoli, which was a show to raise money
for Toronto's Rape Crisis Centre. She stands in front of the
crowd and tells them how she was a victim and how music sets
her free of those emotional shackles. Then she dropped joints
like: "Find A Way'', ''New Horizons'' and ''Ok'' and you
feel, maybe relate to her pain through her lyrics. Then through
her music, as it enters your body, you feel her pain and you
feel your pain leave as well. Everything at the end of the day
is...''Ok''
