Happy Holidays
The
holiday season is here. It’s hard to believe
that we already have another year under our belts. We’re
over half way through the first decade of the 21st century
and there are still fashion references to the 60s, 70s
and 80s.
You know what that means? We seem to be hanging on to
the nostalgia of the past so dearly. The last few seasons
in fashion have seen the revival of the punk rock, heavily
layered, bright colored, tiered skirted 80s.
Even our music has seen the resurgence over and over.
Hip hop culture keeps bringing us back through amazing
samples and most kids born in the eighties have no idea
whom originally created the song.
There
are so many events going on this month that it’s
hard to juggle schedules for most people. If you’re
in New York on December 3rd stop by the Shop N. Mingle
event hosted by Harriet’s Alter Ego. Email shop_n_mingle@yahoo.com
for more information.

This
is just a few of the happenings this month. With the
year winding down most people are preparing to gather
with family and friends during the holiday festivities.
Before we know it, we’ll be cheering ‘Happy
New Year’ while we click our wine glasses and toast
the new chapter in life.
I
would like to wish everyone all the best this season
and for the new year. I would also like to express my
gratitude to everyone for taking the time to read ‘A Slice
of Fashion’ every month.
Sincerest thanks,
